The Trio from Museum Technology Source, Inc. incorporates in one package the functions of what formerly required three: a CD player, a controller, and a stereo power amplifier.
The Trio allows for the playing of up to 12 selections (tracks) from a standard audio CD. In addition, either a selected track, or the entire disc, may play to attract visitors to the exhibit. When the visitor presses any of the buttons mounted on the exhibit surface, the attract track ceases and the new material begins. The ability to repeatedly play the entire disc makes the Trio ideal for ambient background sounds.
Incorporating a stereo 10 watt per channel amplifier, along with bass and treble controls, the Trio has more than ample power to drive speakers to full gallery level.
For sound-light presentations, such as object theatres, the Trio, when used with the accessory SLB Power Switch Box, may be programmed to turn AC outlets on and off in sync with the audio. |
