In response to the need for a straightforward way of delivering synchronized sound and light shows, Museum Technology introduces the DMX-512 option to their established Trio Integrated CD Player. The Trio, in one compact package, incorporates a CD audio drive, a stereo 10 watt per channel amplifier, as well as provision for connecting up to twelve external pushbuttons for activation by the visiting public.
The DMX-512 option adds to the Trio the ability to store and playback lighting cues. These cues are used to control standard, commercially available, DMX-512 compatible dimmer packs. since the cue timing is derived from the CD's time code, repeatable synchronization between sound and light is assured.
Programming of cues is done on a PC running Museum Technology?s new Windows based programming application. This application features an extremely straightforward user interface. Cues may be entered and run in real-time. When a show is complete, it may be downloaded into the Trio?s non-volatile flash memory. In addition, the program may be saved on disc. Standard Windows functions such as copy, paste, file, etc. are employed.
