In June 2003, the Milwaukee Museum of Art added a new permanent exhibit as part of its American Collections. "Chair Park" invites visitors to both view, and actually sit in, ten different chairs, all designed in America during the past 300 years. The experience of seeing and sitting is augmented by an audio narration that plays periodically. The 4321 Countdown Timer is used to start the audio presentation while also alerting the museum patron as to the length of time before it commences.
